Broadland Wineries introduce 57 new wines at the London Wine Fair 2017

Friday 21 April 2017

Producer, importer and international supplier, Broadland Wineries will be introducing 57 new wines to the UK market, all developed following the results of extensive consumer insight research carried out by the company.  Ranging from Prosecco to Argentinian Malbec and an entirely new Australian range, each wine has been carefully selected by Arabella Woodrow, MW at Broadland Wineries, who focused on quality, value and consumer enjoyment taste profiles.  The wines are an illustration of Broadland Wineries expertise in wine blending and brand design.

The privately-owned company offers its own range of branded wines, bottled in the UK, alongside its agency wines, and imports from nine countries.  These are in addition to over 75 private label wines.  The company is a total solution provider from vineyard to glass – sourcing, blending, producing, packing and branding for all wines in multiple formats.

Also known for its innovation, the company launched the single serve format, Minivino, onto the market last year, a brand which is now available across the high street and on-trade.

The LWF stand E22 is divided into two separate areas, aimed at off-trade and on-trade buyers.  This means that visitors to the stand can quickly determine which wines are targeted at their sector, and meet the relevant Broadland executive.  Broadland Wineries will be showing upwards of 160 wines from 21 wineries. Arabella Woodrow will also be on the stand throughout the duration of the Fair along with consumer insight specialist Simon Oastler.

According to Ben Cameron, marketing manager, ‘Broadland is a diverse business sourcing and distributing private label, branded and agency wines from all over the world.  The Fair is the perfect opportunity for us to illustrate the diversity of our business which has grown and evolved so much in the last five years.  Broadland is no longer a contract packing operation – we can blend, package, design and distribute wine whilst enjoying the lowest cost base in the UK.  We have achieved ambitious growth targets by focusing on delivering superior service, quality and value to our customers.”

Led by managing director, Mark Lansley, the company has recently announced a significant growth in its business and is currently estimated to hold a 2.5% share of the UK wine market.  Having experienced a 20% year on year growth over the last ten years, Broadland reached a turnover in 2016 of £58m and, with an eye on increasing turnover to £250m pa by 2025, is expanding its operations in the USA and Nordic countries.  This growth has enabled the business to invest significantly in the fabric of its winery with 3 new bottling lines in the last 4 years, new stainless steel tanks and a new inert gas management system.

In the last two years Broadland has introduced 101 new branded products and 52 private label lines. Under the direction of Arabella Woodrow, numerous wines in the Broadland portfolio have become medal winners.
